One of the best things about growing up in Greater Cincinnati/NKY are the summer festivals. Rather it’s a county fair, something along the Ohio River or a local church festival, they are among the most endearing things about our area. There are some great ones coming up this weekend to check out.
- Bacon, Bourbon and Brew Festival July 8-10 – Hosted by The Bourbon Society of Cincinnati, this festival is at Festival Park in Newport, KY. Dedicated to the areas rich history and connections to the brewing and pork industries as well as our regions long ties to the Bourbon industry. The tri-states top food vendors will be on hand introducing their creative menus featuring recipes that will include bacon, bourbon or craft beer.
- ST. PIUS X SUMMER FESTIVAL, July 8-10 – This annual tradition is always a blast for kids and adults alike. There is face painting, auctions and even a grand prize raffle for a NEW Mercedes. St. Pius X Church 348 Dudley Road Edgewood Rd. 41017
- Kenton County Fair, July 11-16 – Okay, so it’s not exactly THIS weekend, but it’s close enough. We love the Kenton County Fair! There is all sorts of fun, Truck&Tractor Pull, HORSE SHOW, Miss Kenton County Pageant, RIDES & GAMES, Demo Derby, 4H Livestock and much more.
No doubt these are not the only ones, but they are some of our favorites…what about you? Which are your favorites?
